At The College of the Florida Keys, we provide opportunity and access to all students with our Open-Door Policy. CFK welcomes applicants regardless of race, color, national origin, ethnicity, age, sex (including sexual orientation and gender identity), marital status, military status, protected veteran status, genetic information, religion, pregnancy, or disability.
Whether you are a recent high school graduate, returning to college after time away, or looking to advance your career, we can help you take the next step.
Students may begin their journey at CFK in the fall, spring, or summer semesters. To apply, complete our online admission application and submit the nonrefundable $30 application fee. (Note: The fee is waived for Dual Enrollment, Workforce Development, and Continuing Education programs.)
General admission applies to all our programs, including general transfer and Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs, with the exception of limited-access programs. Applications for limited-access programs may have specific deadlines and requirements - please refer our Academic Departments webpage for details.
If you have previously attended CFK but have been away for three or more consecutive semesters, you will need to reapply for admission and update your supplemental documents. A student is considered not enrolled in a semester if:
- All courses are dropped during the drop period
- An approved appeal removes all grades for the term
Dual Enrollment and non-credit students do not need to reapply unless changing programs. Contact admissions@cfk.edu to reactivate your student account.
If you’re pursuing a degree or certificate, you may be required to complete college placement testing. Unless you qualify for an exemption under Florida Statute s.1008.30(4)(a). Visit our Testing webpage to learn more about placement requirements.
Update admissions information, register, withdrawal, verification, residency, transcript requests, etc.
