The College of the Florida Keys (CFK) has been a cornerstone of higher education in Monroe County and beyond since 1965. As a member of the Florida College System, CFK holds the distinction of being the southernmost college in the continental United States, serving a unique 130-mile chain of islands. In addition to its scenic, oceanfront main campus in Key West, CFK has two satellite locations in the Middle Keys and the Upper Keys, as well as virtual platforms to deliver online instruction.

CFK offers bachelor’s degrees, associate degrees, certificates, non-credit courses, and workforce training. The college specializes in programs tailored to the region's needs, such as marine science, diving, marine engineering, renewable energy engineering, business, hospitality, culinary arts, nursing, construction technologies, and public safety.

CFK prides itself on being a small, diverse learning community. With low faculty-to-student ratios, the college offers engaging, personalized instruction that adapts to the changing needs of its students and the industries they serve.
