CFK Tugas set to make waves at NJCAA Swimming and Diving Championship
The College of the Florida Keys (CFK) swim teams have embarked on their journey to Buffalo, NY, to compete in the prestigious National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Swimming and Diving Championship. The four-day event, scheduled for March 5-8, 2025, at the Burt Flickinger Athletic Center, will showcase the Tugas' talent and dedication.
Seven swimmers from CFK departed Monday afternoon, with six set to compete in the national competition. The teams have been rigorously training throughout the season to achieve qualifying times for this elite event.
Under the guidance of Coach Lori Bosco, whose unwavering commitment has been instrumental in developing each swimmer's potential, the Tugas are poised for an impressive showing. The CFK contingent will participate in a total of 21 individual races. Leading the charge are Isabella Oliverio, Kaemon Fagley, Lucas Montiel de la Nuez, and Drew Lebsack, each competing in four events. Teagan Lavin will take on three events, while Eddie Kertis is set to compete in two. In a first for the program, CFK will field teams in four relay races, featuring all their male athletes.
